It's 10:59 PM. I'm sitting outside the door of a non-compliant child, after a few accommodating trips to get water, go potty, brush teeth... anything she could communicate to stall. I didn't give into the bath, but kudos to her for trying something she peovbly knew she needed.

It's not adorable right now, but she's not screaming either.

Also, I'm clearly able to use the opportunity to check the internets, so that's a plus.

Wow. That must have been so scary. I can't imagine. I am glad to hear that it all worked out though.

My mother used to bribe me with a single M&M for various tasks. It seemed to work, but I think I may have been older than your wee one. Plus, sugar and bedtimes don't go together so well.

I haven't gotten used to saying "my grandson" but its getting easier every day. Baby Squirt, you are my favorite grandson as your big sis is my favorite granddaughter. Big sis, that's a new concept to get used to also. Love to all, just try to take it easy on mom.

When my friend Jessie had her son Will two years ago, he born at a whopping 10.8 Pounds. The fellow could probably pass for a small 4 year old now.

As cheesy as it is, watching the "baby ticker" move just a little each day really helped get thru being so sick that I was confined to the house for 10 weeks (plus the 2 ER visits....)!

And what's with the stairs, actually? Ours faceplants on flat hardwood 33% of the time, but she is obsessed with climbing the stairs and has been since she could crawl. Apparently everyone has a little Sir Edmund Hillary in them.

I'm in the same boat, and this is turning out to be the most fun I've ever had being horrified. It was amazing how quickly I went from "oh, come ON; you don't need to hold my hand to do this" to "hold my hand, sweetie! hold my hand!" as she heedlessly, drunkenly lurched into traffic swatting my hand away.

One of our neighbors back home has a baby that is just about a year old. A few months ago, when we were still at home, they had come over to hang out for a bit. The wee girl squealed and pointed and said "DADDY!" which got an "aww" from the occupants of the living room. Then she squealed and pointed at our black labrador, exclaiming "DADDY!"
